What are your thoughts on the benefits of electronic templating?

Wow, as soon as someone sends me a demo unit, I am sure I would love it. I have used many of the measuring devices available for the professional market, but never one intended for templates. I think in the hands of a professional, electronic devices are worthwhile investments. I really like the technology that allows the units to send measurements directly into software. In a few weeks I will be traveling to see new products for 2011 and I will see if I can get my hands on a device intended for templates. But before investing money in a specific model, I would try a demo version to see if the tool met your needs and if it could pay for itself quickly.
